Deborah's 10th Brithday - Mission Success!

Deborah had a lot of fun on her birthday party. Her school, church, neighbor friends, and her cousin Chelsea came and celebrated the day together. I can't believe she is already 10.

It was "Me and my favorite doll" theme. So the dolls had a good time, too.

Deborah received many cool gift. Her aunts (Kee and Youn Su) got her Samantha (sitting on the top left of the bed), and her grandma got her Elizabeth (sitting on the top right of the bed). Mommy and Daddy made the 3 tier bunk bed for her.

New addition to the family - Frosty

We've got a new puppy. His name is Frosty and he is a Maltese. We've got him last night while kids were at their friends house. We surprised them with the puppy last night.

This is Justin's expression when he saw the puppy for the first time - Priceless

Needless to say that Justin and Deborah are so excited.

Blue Ridge Mountains

This is Ocoee River where they held Olympic Kayak events. The water temperature was so low that I got brain freeze when I dunked your feet. Grandpa and Chelsea actually swam here.

That guy behind the bridge was resting by hiding behind a column. We saw several people knocked out of raft right around here.

This was a small fall at the end of one of the hiking trails. It's very rocky and stiff trail, but Joanna's Dad was able to make it all the way to the end and back. He said he will never do it again...

Horseback riding was the highlight for the children. Deborah had to ride her horse (Oreo) all by herself (with no one pulling her) all the way up the mountain and down. It was one and a half hour ride. It was hard enough for Daddy and Mommy. Mommy complained that her butt hurt after the ride for all day.

They have figured it out...

Joanna and I went to a Chinese fastfood place called "Panda Express" last Saturday. I did not expect to see any Panda there, but much to my surprise , there were no chinese person in the restaurant . The chefs, cashiers, managers, servers... They were not even Asians . But the fodd tasted pretty good . I think they have finally figured out the secrets of Chinese food. (MSG, Oil, Sugar, and Teriyaki Sauce...)

Justin's Birthday & Deborah's New American Girl Doll

Justin's birthday was almost a month ago. He is seven now and he is a Jedi Padawan. Of cause I am his master. I can sense the force is unusually strong with this boy...

I did not know how much Deborah wanted a American Girl doll until her grandma got her one. This one's name is Kit and Deborah had her for a week. They are inseparable now.

Deborah and Justin brought home portraits a photographer have taken from school. It turned out that the pictures would've cost us over hundred dollars. So as cheap as I am, I decided to take the pictures of them myself since Joanna really wanted some portraits of them. So here they are. I think they came out pretty O.K. What do you think?

I have to admit that I had to take like 15 pictures each and looked for the best one. So it was natural that Deborah got very tired of smiling...

Magic Kingdom

I've been meaning to put this up sooner. We went to Disney Magic Kingdom on Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday. We brought Chelsea (my niece), and David (Justin's friend) with us. That's right! That is 4 kids ages from 6 - 9. We managed to have a great time and were able to enjoy the day thoroughly. Thanks to Mrs. Cho (Nam Su's mom), we were able to even get in for free.

Our favorite show was PhilharMagic 4D movie. It even included smell as well as 3D movie and shaking chairs. Kids got to drive cars at the race track. The accelerator was very tight. Deborah had a very difficult time since she rode with Chelsea and there was no adult to help her. We are very proud she did not give up and finish the race. During the tea cup ride, the boys' tea cup was the fastest spinning cup. I am still feeling the effect...

Our snowman was a very innocent at first (untempered)...

Then the Pyon sister turned him into a chinese (a bit of evil looking...) snowman

I am innocent of this crime committed by the Pyon Sisters. I tried to stop them but their will was too strong to be defeated...

P.S. Justin played in the snow so much that day, his underwear was soaking wet. So mommy had to dry his butt. If Justin remembers that I posted this picture when he is in middle school, he won't be very happy...

Costco Photo Developing Rocks!

I have had a digital camera since 2001. I always printed my pictures out of my ink jet printer which does a very good job. (I have HP 2100 All in One Printer) I have never let the commercial photo processing center to develop my pictures because I thought they lack resolutions to print out a high quality pictures. After the Philly trip, I decided to try the Costco Photo developing center through the web because they gave 20 prints for free (I have a weak spot for the free stuff). I uploaded 90 pictures (which took some time even with the fast connection) and the pictures were ready in an hour at the nearest Costco from my house. The quality of the pictures blew me away. It was much better than the pictures printed out of my printer with the most expensive papers. For those of you who have not tried this yet, I definately recommend it.

Here we are! This is our first posting...

Deborah and Justin went to ICS (International Community School) for the first time today. They just switched from a public school. I hope they had a great time. We are excited about this, and hope that the education of our children will be a lot more consistent among home, church and school. Go Deborah & Justin!
